Toxicology

Oral:Acute oral LD₅₀ for male rats c. 336, mice c. 650 mg/ kg. Percutaneous:Acute percutaneous LD₅₀ for rats >5000 mg/kg. Not irritating to skin and eyes (rabbits). Inhalation: LC₅₀ (4 h) for rats >0.3 mg/l air (aerosol).

Degradation is rapid; DT₅₀ 0.6-11 d, DT₉₀ 5-64 d measured in laboratory trials, using predominantly BBA standard soils 1 and 2. Direct photodegradation in water contPlant:According to a balance study with labelled a.i. using seed-treated spring wheat planted in a lysimeter, young plants absorbed about 10% of the applied radioactivity which, however, decreased to 1-2% in later development stages.
